The Patinack Farm runners in Adelaide continue in fine form. Trainer John Thompson is currently the clear leader of the Adelaide Trainers’ premiership and there were another two winners on Saturday at Morphettville.

Safety In Numbers (4 g Fastnet Rock – Custodial) is racing in great heart and he showed plenty of courage to land the $32,000 Cam Management Handicap (R94). Making nearly all the running under Paul Gatt, Safety In Numbers was clear into the straight and despite being pressed hard by Brad Star inside the final 200 metres he found plenty to score a strong win.

Nevzlin (4 g Dehere – Ruski Rose) is another to be racing consistently and he was strong at the end of the 1550 metre Schweppes Tonic Handicap.
Travelling strongly into the straight, Paul Gatt released the hand brake once balanced up and Nevzlin quickened into the lead, staying on strongly to comfortably hold the challenge from Road Worker.

John Thompson currently leads the Metropolitan Trainers Premiership in South Australia with 33 wins at an excellent strike-rate of 18.9%.
