SOILED added another stakes win to the Patinack record when powering home in Saturday’s Tatts Members Cup (Listed) over 1600m at Eagle Farm.

Perfectly positioned behind the leaders by Chris Munce, Soiled delivered his challenge in the straight and ran on determinedly to score by a length and a half.

“There was a hell of a lot of speed in the race, which I expected, but not that fast,” Munce said later. “It was no place for the faint hearted.

A seven-year-old gelding, by Sandpit (Brz) out of Subtle Miss, Soiled recorded his ninth win from 28 starts to bring up $331,900 in career prizemoney. He is a half-brother to our good mare Subtle Cove (Mull Of Kintyre), Group 2 winner of the Sunline Stakes at Moonee Valley and Group 1 placed in the Winter Stakes.
