The first-crop of Husson have been finding favour with buyers on the Gold Coast this week. Husson (Arg)  had a colt out of Catalyst sell for $60,000 and a filly out of Catalina sell for $75,000 with Patinack signing for the pair.

“We like to support our own stallions,” Patinack’s Rick Connolly said. “Husson had a good sale and had some nice looking horses.”

Patinack were active elsewhere in the sale, paying $170,000 for the Shamradal brother to Mundi Gully. “The two we bought by Shamardal were lovely horses, and we’ve had lots of success with the sire. The colt in particular is a great mover, and the filly has the touch of class that we like. We’re really looking forward to getting him home and then getting him ready to join the racing stable later on.” Connolly explained.

The only undefeated champion 2yo at stud in Australia, Husson is by multiple champion sire Hussonet (USA), and he has understandably proved popular with breeders. The quality of his first-crop weanlings are focussing further attention with their size and scope – the image of their sire.
