Patinack Stable Running Well
The Patinack Farm runners continue to run well across all states in Australia and this Saturday was no exception.
In Adelaide Full Metal Jacket (4 g Elvstroem – Haywire) came with a powerful sprint in the straight to win going away at the end of the $25,000 Spring Gully Foods Handicap over 1200 metres.
Metallurgical (4 g Redoute’s Choice – Lady Capel) is racing in great heart right now and he was unlucky when a fast finishing second to in the $80,000 Chief De Beers Handicap (Listed) over 1110 metres at Doomben. Held up at a vital stage early in the straight, Metallurgical was finishing better than anything in the race and only just missed in what was a career-best effort.
Metallurgical was ridden by Scott Galloway who was impressed with the performance. “He’s improving with every run. It was probably a bit short for him today but there’s much better things in store for him over the carnival.”
At Caulfield Kneeling (2 f Encosta de Lago – Sunday Service) ran a terrific race on debut, just missing in the $70,000 Sportsbet Handicap over 1200 metres. Always travelling sweetly for Chris Symons, Kneeling found plenty in the straight and was only worried out of the race in the final strides by Sport Chic to be beaten a short-head. A $340,000 Easter Yearling, Kneeling looks to have a bright future indeed.
