New World Order
It does not seem so long ago that Wonderful World was racing as one of the best milers in Australia. Group 1 placed in the Blue Diamond Stakes at two, wins in the ‘stallion making’ Caulfield Guineas (Gr 1) and Guineas Prelude (Gr 3) established him among the elite and were followed up with Group 1 placings in Australia’s WFA Championship, the W S Cox Plate as well as the Toorak Handicap and Invitation Stakes.
Now with the new season approaching it is timely to note that Wonderful World’s first offspring will hit the tracks and the early signs are very promising.
Wonderful World (Agnes World) has 99 live foals in his first crop and already one that is showing precocity is the brown colt (Oct 7) out of Carnegie Minstrel (Carnegie). “He is a real professional, great outlook and he has shown us he knows how to gallop in the little education he has had so far.” says Patinack Farm head trainer John Thompson.
