Naara Bound for Oaks Glory
RUN FOR NAARA showed with her fighting finish to be third behind Zabrasive and Rock Classic in Saturday’s Rosehill Guineas (Gr 1) that she is right on course to give Patinack Farm its second Oaks success this Austumn following Small Minds recent win over stablemate No Evidence Needed in the Australasian Oaks at Morphettville.
Run For Naara (3 f More Than Ready [USA] – Kristopher Street [USA]) made up several lengths in the straight to be closing on the colts at the finish and trainer John Thompson is delighted with the way the filly has pulled up.
Run For Naara has improved at each of her three starts this preparation and she looks ready to peak at Randwick on April 17.
Rock Classic’s fine performance to finish second focusses further attention on his Encosta de Lago yearling half-sister that is part of the quality Patinack Farm draft at the fast approaching Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney.
