The Patinack Farm stable continues in good form with more winners over the Queens Birthday weekend.

At Doomben on Monday, Fairy Gumnut (4 m Danasinga – Gumnut Fairy, by Fairy King) added her second metropolitan win when she came right away at the finish of the $45,000 Terrace Rugby Handicap. Enjoying a lovely ride from Jim Byrne, Fairy Gumnut was waited with until the straight and then she sprinted quickly, striking the front 100 metres out and going away to score by a widening two and a quarter lengths.

In the first race of the day, Nanjera (4 g Redoute’s Choice – Redwood, by Timber Country) only just missed in a driving finish to the Coca-Cola Maiden, losing out by a short half-head to The Reveller in a bobbing finish at the end of the 1350 metres.

On Saturday at Morphettville Full Metal Jacket (4 g Elvstroem – Haywire, by Marauding) made it two wins on end when taking the $25,000 Sportingbet Handicap over 1200 metres. Full Metal Jacket was in behind horses early in the straight but once angled out into running room by Paul Gatt he lengthened powerfully to run down the leaders and get his nose in front on the line.
