We are getting excited at the good news coming out of Argentina relating to the first-crop runners by our unbeaten classic winner Husson and so should Australian breeders.

Having just reported on Husson’s first winner last week we can report that he has his second following the impressive debut win by Lake Husson (2 c Miss Lake, by Numerous) by two lengths over 1200 metres at La Plata on Tuesday.

Worth noting for breeders, Lake Husson is inbred to Mr Prospector.

Husson was represented by another placegetter as well when Copa Bullrich finished second and from nine runners to date Husson has two winners and four placegetters and his first yearlings in Australia have met with great enthusiasm around the sales this year.

A dual Group 1 winner at two and then at three, Husson has rightly been supported by breeders because of his unbeaten race record, proven pedigree and a physique that is leaving mirror images of himself around Australia.

Husson’s fee remains unchanged at $22,000 (incl gst) for 2011. Contact our nominations department to discuss mating options to Husson or any of the other Patinack Farm stallions  for your mare.
