Huge incentives for Patinack Farm Queen Of The North runners
Patinack Farm has provided a huge incentive for owners and trainers with fillies running in Port Macquarie’s $40,000 Patinack Queen Of The North (1200m), on Friday, February 17 with the addition of a service to the dual Group 1 French Classic winner Lope de Vega, valued at $27,500.
The son of Shamardal is from the Group winning mare Lady Vettori and boasts a double cross to Machiavellian.
Having emulated his sire Shamardal by winning both the Group 1 French 2000 Guineas and Group 1 French Derby, Lope De Vega cemented his place as the best son of Shamardal to go to stud.
Shamardal, boasts an impressive record of 74 per cent winners to runners and we can see no reason why Lope De Vega will not continue to carry that liking for Australian conditions through to his progeny.
Lady Vettori won five successive races as a two-year-old including the Group 3 Prix de Calvados.
Apart from the prize money and stallion service on offer for the Queen Of The North, the race also carries BOBS bonuses up to $18,000.
