Casino Prince is off to flying start with his first official barrier trial runner a winner. Patinack Farm-owned La Casino (2 f Casino Prince – La Famelia) scored over Alyna (2 f Husson – A Country Girl, by Singspiel) and Prosody (2 c Husson – Not Fuhr Nothin, by Langfuhr) in the 800 metre heat at Morphettville on Monday, completed in 51.44.

Interestingly La Casino (foaled 16/8) is inbred 3 x 3 to the mighty Danehill (USA) with Casino Prince a grandson through his champion sire son Flying Spur and La Casino’s granddam Blondine a daughter of Danehill.

Casino Prince himself was an early favourite for the Golden Slipper, training on to win at Group 1 level in the Chipping Norton Stakes. His first crop yearlings won many admiring glances at the sales last year and the word from trainers that have them is extremely positive, as the trial win of La Casino suggests.
