The 2011 Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1), to be run at Caulfield on 26 February next year, is being strongly targeted by the race sponsor.

When first acceptances closed at 12pm on Tuesday, a total of 582 first acceptances (up 93 on 2010), and two late entries were received and Nathan Tinkler’s Patinack Farm led the list of nominators with 53 horses remaining in the race for Victoria’s premier race for two-year-olds.

The 2011 Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Series carries an exciting $1 million bonus for the first time for any horse who can win the three legs of the series – the Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Preview (26 Jan), Blue Diamond Prelude (12 Feb) and the Blue Diamond Stakes on 26 February.
