Beautiful Crown (USA), from a short 14-start career halted by injury, showed star quality with six strong wins and a black type performance at Hollywood Park.
His speed was recognised when he was ranked the quickest sprinter over six furlongs (1200m) in the United States in 1996. His time of 1 minute 7.4 seconds was not bettered by any horse in the US in that year.
