Allez Daryakana!!
Sydney, December 16, 2009: The Australian runners might have been out of luck at Sha Tin last weekend but Patinack Farm enjoyed a big boost to its broodmare band when Daryakana (FR) produced a barnstorming finish to take the Hong Kong Vase (Gr 1).
Comfortably enjoying life in the Hunter Valley is DOURAYA (FR) (Sendawar (USA) x Daryaba (IRE)), a Longchamp winning half-sister to Daryakana. Both these Aga Khan-bred fillies are out of Daryaba, the 1999 Prix de Diane – French Oaks winner and this is the immediate family of Group 1 winners Darjina and Darsi. A fantastic pedigree to be breeding with anywhere in the world - certainly a very valuable member of the Patinack broodmare band.
Douraya has been scanned in foal to our resident Group 1 winner Casino Prince and is indicative of the quality of mares that the son of Flying Spur has covered this season.
